My Vaping Experience of 2015

Hello folks,

I know it’s been some time since my actual post on the blog.  Work has become a large part of my life and sadly has taken most of my free time.  This is what happens when you travel all over the east coast!  This past year I’ve been to New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania (my home state), Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky!  This has kept me away from my family.  Whenever I do get the free time I wish for I spend it with my family.

However this hasn’t stopped me from vaping.  Throughout the whole year of 2015 I’ve gotten to experience some delicious eliquids, played with some killer devices and hardware, and tinkered with some accessories that have made my vaping experience more enjoyable.

So I’ve decided to create a list of my favorites from each category that I’ve experienced this year!

sigelei-150-watt-with-temperature-control

First on my list is the Sigelei 150 watt temperature control mod.  I couldn’t ask for more out of this device.  With my current .19 ohm build at 105 watts this bad boy chucks the vapor all day long.  It probably helps the fact that there are 2 18650 batteries in here.  It has survived many rain storms (not by choice) and several drops.

This was also my first device where I got to play around with RDA’s and RTA’s.  After the experiences I had with these pieces of hardware I will not be going back to pre-built coils ever again.

velocity_rda_by_tobeco_ss_1_1

Next on my list is the Velocity RDA by Tobeco.  This sexy piece of hardware was my second RDA that I bought this year and it took me nearly 4 months before I decided to buy a Mini Buddah.  It’s a little small to build on (at least in my opinion) however the way the posts are designed allow for some very interesting builds.  You can easily create a quad coil if you’ve never tried building one before.cotton_bacon
This should go without saying… Cotton Bacon is amazing.  You don’t have to wash it and it easily rips into small strips that allow for quick replacement of your old cotton.  Anything else I have to say about this?

Flavor-Suite_RAGING-DONUT_Nologo

This could easily be my favorite e-liquid of all time… and the hardest to track down.  I visited three different vape shops earlier today.  One was sold out and the other two shops didn’t even sell this amazing juice!  The liquid comes in 60ml bottles and has the best experience of sweet meets pastry that I’ve experienced all year long!

24-awg-resistance-heating-wire-for-rba-rda-rta-silver-stainless-steel-05mm-366ohm-m-10m-30-feetI started building with Kanthal and been using that wire for months.  I just switched over to Stainless Steel in December and I may never look back.  It seems that it may not last as long as Kanthal but the flavor profiles I’ve experienced with this wire is amazing.

Sigelei-18650-35A-3

The Sigelei 35A 2500mAh batteries have been the best batteries I’ve ever used.  These beasts just keep recharging with no issues.  ONLY downside I’ve seen is that decorative plastic sleeve that surrounds this battery rips after awhile but who cares!

And there you have it, my top pics for 2015.  My vaping experience for this past year has been amazing and I can’t wait to see what comes my way in 2016!

Wicked Stix, Cloud 9 Vapor and Independence Vapors

Hello UV readers!

I’m hoping that the redirect URL problems are now fixed and we can finally move on to our regularly scheduled vaping discussions.

I apologize for the long pauses between posts. Since I was switched over to a new position at work I haven’t even found time to breathe. Even though it has been quite stressful and full of new experiences I’ve been enjoying the ride each and every step of the way.

With that being said… this new position switch has given me the chance to experience new vaping habits and new vaping shops all over PA!

Wicked Stix Vape LLC in Lewisburg, PA was a good shop to visit. A nice, clean lounge area with plenty of space. A nice selection of liquids that I’ve never experienced before and a helpful staff.

Independence Vapors in Philadelphia, PA near Horsham was a WONDERFUL treat. The only man I ever saw working in there during my 3 visits was extremely knowledgeable of the market and his products. I purchased a Kayfun Undead from him, making that my first rebuildable tank. And thanks to him I’ve not turned away from that style of tank.

And then there is Cloud9 Vapors in Lewisburg, PA. This has been my go-to shop for the past month and a half. They have 3 of my favorite flavors that I haven’t switched from (Sugar Bear and Cereal Killa are two of them). I’ve bought several devices, several rebuildable tanks and quite a bit of rebuildable parts from this store. Their staff is all family, all friendly and wonderful to discuss anything with (even outside of vaping). I highly recommend this store to anyone in the area.

That about raps up my shopping experience for over the last few months. Once again I’m very sorry for the lack of updates of late and hopefully I can continue to post something week by week to keep all of you informed.

Until next time,
Vape Strong!

Aerotank Mega from KangerTech

It has been over 6 months since you last review.  GOOD LORD!  Hopefully I can still remember what I’m doing when it comes to writing a review with terrible grammer and even worse humor.

What I have dubbed as the “MegaTank” is a bottom dual coil clearomizer brought to you from KangerTech.  This thing is an absolute beast.

First off the price for this tank ranges online from 35$-40$.  This tank is not your typical cheap clearo.  I can bet that the price itself would turn off the average or newbie vaper in less of a heartbeat.  However… it’s best to give this tank a shot.

If you haven’t noticed I prefer the simple appearance for tanks.  This tank right out of the box looks great.  The glass is crystal clear and the drip tip isn’t something special keeping the simple appearance going.  However, in the box set there is a tank replacement for the glass that is stainless steel making the tank look more like a rebuildable.  With the steel tank being used… best looking clearomizer on the market currently.

image

Not only does this tank work as excepted it has exceeded my high expectations.  A 40$ tank needs to be worth that 40$’s.  In value I honestly believe they could charge 60$-70$ and I’m sure I would still buy some.  This tank has produced some of the largest clouds of vapor and the best flavor I’ve ever experienced from a clearomizer.

This tank seems to never need priming once a liquid is applied to a new coil.  Fill your tank, wait about 1 minute and it should be ready to vape.

The air flow valve built into this tank works very well.  In those rare occasions that you would get a dry hit just turn the valve to almost close the air hole and continue vaping.  In those even rarer cases where this tank starts to gargle just open the valve wide open and continue vaping.

Filling this tank is simple if you use a syringe bottle or an actual syringe.  Flip the tank upside down and untwist the bottom cap.  There will be a few holes going around the outside of the tank.  Take your juice bottle or syringe and insert the liquid in one of the holes beside the center hole (not inside the center hole).  Continue until you see liquid pouring out of the other holes.  Once filled simply twist the cap back on and put it on your favorite device.  This is a larger tank so you can vape on this for a day or so before refilling.

This is now my go to tank.  I actually carry three.  I couldn’t finding anything wrong with this product other than the price could be the make or break for some.  But you do get a hell of a bang for a larger buck.

The Long Awaited Update

Anytime I start with a “guess who’s back” kind of statement something usually comes up preventing me from updating this blog.  I want to thank each and every one of my readers out there for their patience and continued support of this blog.  Without you I’m sure I wouldn’t come back.

Over the past few months I’ve been working on getting the work side of my life put together.  I am now working for a nationwide company that is helping rebuild America’s power grid.  Such a great job comes with its downfalls however, requiring me to be away from my family during longer durations that any normal man would like.

I’ve been playing my 3ds XL to keep my mind busy but when you are on the road like this you have a tendency to become miserable.

So I’m hoping that contuning my blog about one of my main passions will help occupy the time a little more.

Mr Dew Voltage from High Caliber E-Liquid

high-caliber-mr-dew-voltage-30ml~257716414

First review in a month or so.  Life has been really crazy as of late but I’m hoping to hop back in the saddle and get these reviews written for you!

Soda Pop Fan?  Try our Mr. Dew Voltage… yup.

The vapor production of Mr Dew Voltage is right where you want it to be at a 50/50 mix.

This is the first time I’ve actually experienced a low % nicotine.  This is a .6% nicotine.  However the throat hit seems to be a little higher than I would expect from a low-nicotine liquid.

I almost want to say that this doesn’t taste like the Mountain Dew everyone knows and loves.  However, I think if you’d let a can of the green goodness open for a full day you might make the connection.  Even if this liquid isn’t quite spot on to the “Mountain Dew” flavor that doesn’t mean that it isn’t good.  It’s quite a refreshing lemon/lime flavor.  This is one of the most enjoyable lemon/lime flavors I’ve had.

The overall strength of this flavor is spot on.

The scent from the liquid smells almost like a bubblegum.  That smell isn’t bad at all but it wasn’t what I was expecting.

The presentation is quite lacking.  The bottle almost feels like rubber and the seal that connects to the cap informing you that this bottle hasn’t been tampered with does come off with the cap.  The label is printed well and easy to read.

For this quality of liquid you’re getting a lot of worth for your money.

I have to admit this is one of my favorite lemon/lime creations I’ve had since I’ve started vaping.  Even for this liquid being a lower nicotine level I was quite happy with the throat hit.  I’d recommend this to anyone that does enjoy the Mountain Dew e-liquids.

Kringles Curse from Halo

kringle

What a trip the last month has been.  There was one week where we put in over 80 hours at work!  Good lord!  In any event I’m back and starting the reviews again.  Thank you everyone for being so patient during those really busy weeks.

Kringle’s Curse E-liquid offers a delightful Peppermint e-liquid flavor with immense vapor production and solid throat hit. The refreshing taste of this exquisite e-liquid blend has no underlying tobacco taste, and will leave your mouth tingling for more. Kringle’s Curse E-liquid is a great choice for those seeking a more intense flavor e-liquid than our traditional menthol blends or for those with a sweet tooth as well.

The vapor production of Kringle’s Curse is above the average in comparison to other e-liquids in the market.

The throat hit of Kringle’s Curse is smooth but seems a little lighter than other 12mg nicotine e-liquids from the industry.  I’m going to put the blame on the light menthol flavor.

Peppermint is out in front with this liquid.  It literally tastes like your vaping a candy cane or a peppermint candy.  A nice touch is that since this liquid is modeled after a peppermint you get that cool and refreshing feeling when you vape this liquid.  It’s almost like menthol.

The flavor strength of Kringle’s Curse is on point.  There isn’t anything else in this liquid to mute the flavor.  It’s straight up peppermint.

This liquid smells exactly the way it tastes.

The packaging of any Halo product is top notch. Anything shipped from Halo is packed in either a 7ml bottle with a syringe tip or the 30ml bottle that is made of blue glass with an eye dropper as a lid. If you purchase the sample pack you receive a small tin with 6 different flavors, all surrounded by foam to keep the bottles from rolling around.

Halo is on the more expensive side of vaping

Overall Kringle’s Curse is a display of the basic’s done well.  All there is in this liquid is peppermint… and it’s done very well.  The refreshing feeling you have after vaping this liquid will make you come back for more.

Busy Schedule

Hey folks,

I wanted to give a heads up to all my readers. During the next week or so the reviews may be slowed down or halted (if you haven’t already noticed). We are in a major time crunch at work. Any time to myself is going to be dedicated to rest and spending time with my family. You may notice activity start to pick back up around May 9th.

I’m very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause to anyone.

For vendors and manufacturers. This won’t affect my responses via email. If you need more information or wish to contact me about reviews please don’t be afraid to contact me.

Thank you everyone for understanding!

Andrew

Organic Going Bananas from Virgin Vapor

Authentic banana flavors seem very hard to come by.  It always seems people prefer to make their flavor taste like a banana runt.  How does Organic Going Bananas from Virgin Vapor compare?

Bananas, bananas, and more bananas!  This flavor is crazy good!

Not recommended for use in certain types of plastic tanks.

This liquid seems to produce a good amount of vapor.  In comparison to other liquids in this PG/VG mix I’d say this is above the standard.

The throat hit of this liquid is a little unique.  Not only is it right on with other 12mg nicotine liquids I’ve tried it also got a little extra kick to it.  Those that have tried a straight fruit flavor can understand what I say when it has that “burn” feeling.  It actually adds to the experience of this flavor.

This is the first banana flavor that I can say tastes like a damn banana.  Finally!  This would compare to a banana with a little green on the peel however.  It’s not as sweet as you might think but you still get that ever-delicious banana flavor.

In the theme of a “almost ripe” banana the flavor of this liquid is a little light.

Oddly enough… this liquid smells a lot like the taste of a banana runt.

The presentation of this liquid is well done.  The packaging is beautiful brown glass bottle with a medicine dropper included in the cap.  The description is well written and the image is very fitting.

The liquids from Virgin Vapor are on the more expensive side of the vaping spectrum however their quality overall makes up for it.

All I have to say to sum this up is this… A banana flavor that tastes like a real banana.  It’s nice to finally come across a banana flavor the manufacturer of this liquid can accurately say that this is banana.  Well done!
